The Newsletter
This month's events, an online foot and ankle short routine and why you should consider 1:1 training.
MAY 2025
An Education in NYCAttending the lower limb biomechanics course with David Grey was incredibly informative and rewarding. Learning and collaborating with like minded physiotherapists, chiropractors and trainers was the cherry on top. For me, the teachers that I have always learned the most from were those who were not trying to sell “their” method. Instead, they offer a different perspective and interpretation of information. He confirmed, among many things, that effort and intent are so key when teaching movement. Instead of trying to be right when working with someone we need to be curious, and, ask the right questions when it comes to helping clients overcome the challenges they are experiencing in their body. | ![]() |
Free Online foot and ankle routine

Sometimes you can’t make an hour happen, but 15 minutes? No problem.
It all counts. A new addition to the monthly newsletter there will be a themed short format routine you can practice anytime at home. This months focus will be building up some strength and stability in your feet for the upcoming crappy footwear season.
Routine is posted on Instagram. Have we connected there yet? Follow at @sweatthetechniquestudio
Private & Group Session Availability

Here are three signs that you need to seek a better education about what is going on in your body when you are in discomfort:
You are told to no longer do the movement that hurts.
Your exercises for a specific injury came from an app or a piece of paper.
You are in the pain/relief cycle with massage, chiro, physio, etc,
There are currently two openings for private sessions beginning May 5. Mondays at 12:15pm and Tuesdays at 10:30am. Can’t make those happen, book a consultation and we’ll see what we can do.
Haven’t been to class in a while and want to talk about it? Book that consult.
“ A big reason people are obsessed with protocols, hacks and complex sciency-sounding optimization is because doing the simple stuff that actually makes a difference is hard and you must do it for a long period of time- and most people don’t like doing hard things for long periods of time.”
- Brad Stulberg
Please note the studio is closed partial days on May 2, 3, 14 & 19.
Until next month 😁

Restore Movement. Build Strength. Become Resilient.
